Alessandro Palazzini, a student at ITS Biomedicale in Mirandola, developed an application for the FlexPendant of our ABB GOFA CRB15000 collaborative robot during his internship with us.

The FlexPendant is a portable device with a colour touchscreen for robot control and programming. It allows programming of movements, manual control for setup and maintenance, and offers diagnostic tools to identify and solve problems. It includes safety features such as an emergency button to ensure safe use.

The application developed by Alessandro allows various pre-existing programmes to be started via a command plan. Using the ‘OmniCore App SDK and AppMaker’ from the ABB Developer Centre, the interface allows the user to select and execute simple robot trajectories: circular, square and triangular, as well as other functionalities such as starting and stopping the robot and the execution speed of the selected programmes.
